Lieutenant Colonel Jim Sisler is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor (SASI). Lt Col Sisler is a retired Air Force officer and has the responsibility for managing the entire AFJROTC program here at McNeil. He teaches the Aerospace Science I through IV curriculum on Mondays, Tuesdays, and some Fridays. The wellness portion of the curriculum, which involves various exercises and a one-mile run, is taught by both instructors on days determined by the SASI.

Master Sergeant Royce Claywell is the Leadership Education Instructor (ASI). Cadets will address him as Sergeant Claywell. He is a retired Air Force enlisted person. To develop a better understanding of military officer and enlisted active duty titles, cadets will not refer to the Sergeant as “Sir.” MSgt Claywell teaches the Leadership Education I through IV curriculum on Wednesdays and Thursdays and some Fridays, LE-I through LE-III will practice drill procedures, while LE-IV will be involved in managing Cadet Group activities.
